Look Good... Feel Better

The Look Good...Feel Better programme is a free cancer support service for female patients being treated for cancer. Women can find the emotional and appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment very difficult to cope with.

I have been involved with this programme since 2005 and am now the lead volunteer in St Lukes Hospital. Approximately once a month I take charge of an informal beauty workshop with 12 participants. With the help of two other volunteers I take the group through a twelve-step skincare and make-up regime.

Recently at the 'Ultimate Girls Day Out' in the RDS Look Good...Feel Better was featured on News at One and the interview was broadcast.
